Thinking about an E-book.

So, guys, I've been mulling this over for the past few days. Obviously, I'm working on getting into traditional publishing for my novels, like The Bombardiers, but I've also been considering what to do with my other works. I'm considering writing an anthology of poems and publishing it to the Kindle (or perhaps short stories, or perhaps both).

What do you think about this?

Right now, I've got a slowly maturing idea for an epically long poem I've entitled The Legionnaire. And I also have several other major poetic works stirring in the back of my mind.

So, how would you all feel about an e-book from me in the future? Not any time especially soon, but perhaps the fall or winter next year?

I've been so interested in getting into publishing my works for such a long time, so do you think it'd be a good idea to ease in with an e-book? Up until the present, the only option for an author was to try for traditional publishing, but with the advent of e-book market, that's all changed. I'm hoping I can get at least a toe in the door of the published world with a smaller work than a novel before I jump into the traditional novel publishing game.

How do you all feel about this?

  1. I'm in the same boat, but with some non-fiction rather than fiction. I've been trying to read up on the whole process and think I'll be diving in. :)

  2. Ah, yes. I'm just so ambivalent. I never know where to head with my minor works.
